How To Overcome Your Prospects Skepticism

I want to talk to you about something key to your overall success. A topic if understood and used persistently will surely increase your conversion rate from prospect to signup in your business.

If you are to set yourself apart from your competition thisis an extremely easy way to do it.

First you must understand that for the vast majority of your prospects are highly skeptical about you and your business and are actively looking for a way to dismiss you as someone who's just like all those others out there.

They all carry the attitude of "I've tried something like this before and it didn't work, what's going to make this go around any different?"

And well you can try to explain why you and your business are so great, but that's what the average guy does and so it's not so effective.

There is a better way, and it's actually easier than spending your time trying to verbally sell your prospect on you and your business and it's this . . .

Let your successes do the talking for you!

Here's what I mean.In all that you do be sure to archive proof of what sets you apart, any small minor success that you've had is potent weapon you can use and in fact you should be using.

If you have people on your team that you've helped achieve, ask them to write you a quick note about what they think about you.It doesn't matter if you only helped them gain one new prospect and they're excited about it, it's just as powerful to that skeptical prospect as someone saying you helped them make a million dollars.

In fact, it may even be more powerful because your prospect must first bridge the mental gap between where they are now to actually doing what you're doing and to be honest if you flash them a statement saying you helped someone recruit 20 people it may scare your prospects away.

It's to big for them at the outset. They simple need to see that what you do works and it's easy to get started and that you're a good person that others are excited to work with.

And well these little notes your team members pass you are just what they want and need to see.

Third party validation is a powerful thing. Don't underestimate it. Instead, take a couple minutes to ask your team members to shoot you a note about why they enjoy working with you.

And over the course of time you'll have more than a good reason for your prospects to join you.

Now don't think that's all you can use.

Use your own success, use your own stats, take screen shots of what's working for you and use these too. If you don't have many on your team now, well your own validation is what's going to be doing the lions share ofthe work in showing your prospects what sets you apart from
the other guy that just tries to hype them over the phone.

Your prospects want the truth, provide that and the hardest part of your work is done.

How to Earn Money from the Funded Proposal Model

Most network marketing systems today are based on the funded proposal model. If you are intent on creating your own strategy for your network marketing business, using the funded proposal model allows you to generate profit even if people don’t sign up with your company in the end.

What is the Funded Proposal Model?
A lot of network marketing businesses end up failing simply because their initial advertising costs are greater than the profits their businesses are able to generate. The funded proposal model was created to give network marketers a way to offset advertising costs and earn money as well even if people decide not to join their network marketing company.

Elements of a Funded Proposal
A funded proposal takes time to create because you’re devising a strategy that has to be duplicable and able to work for all types of network marketing companies, products, and services. A funded proposal is also designed to help solve problems that commonly beset network marketers. Your funded proposal will be effective if it possesses the five essential elements stated below.

Business Building
Funded proposals must include time-tested and proven strategies for building a network marketing business. Establishing your business online will always include building a website and making use of various Internet marketing tools to generate website traffic. Your funded proposal must help network marketers achieve their business building goals without hurting their pockets too much.

Prospect Listing
Another important factor to incorporate in your funded proposal is prospect listing. You should teach your affiliates the best ways to create a prospect list for their own business. And of course, this step must be accomplished within the person’s budget.

Lead Generation
Funded proposals must also eliminate the need for buying MLM leads. Funded proposals must include tested and proven strategies for lead generation. Getting high quality leads is more likely if you’ve generated them through your own efforts. By giving affiliates full control on how to generate those leads, you’re also giving them the opportunity to have access to leads that are tailor-made for their business.

Leadership and Support
Funded proposals also require interaction between the proposal creator – that’s you – and its subscribers. You must accept and embrace your role as a leader to them if you wish for your funded proposal to work. As a leader, it’s your job to motivate them and give them all the encouragement and support they need to attain their goals in network marketing.

The lead generation techniques your funded proposal taught them to use will give them access to high quality leads, yes, but it’s your leadership and support that enables them to make excellent use of those leads. Without appropriate skills, opportunities can still slip through a person’s fingers. It’s your job to make sure that doesn’t happen to any of your affiliates!

Their Profit
The success of your funded proposal would generally be based on the amount of profit it is able to generate. Your proposal must also help network marketers earn money regardless of which company they’ve joined or whatever it is they’re selling.

Your Profit
Lastly, and this is to ensure that you still earn money from your funded proposal even if they don’t become a part of your network marketing business, remember to charge a reasonable rate for access to your funded proposal system. If it’s as good as you think it is, people won’t mind paying for it!

Help Your Prospect Get Where They Want To Go Faster And Easier Than If They Tried On Their Own

It took me some time to learn this, but in all you do in your prospecting efforts there is a much better way than following a cold calling script and putting undue pressure on both yourself and your prospect for the close and it's much easier than you think.

Once I really understood the power of doing this one thing my business took off.

Here it is.Instead of going for the hard sell, BE what your prospects are looking for.

Very subtle what I just said, but more powerful than you can imagine.

Instead of reading a script and getting nervous about whether or not you're going to close that particular lead into your business shoot right on past it. Start training them from the outset.

What are you as a sponsor?

A coach that is going to help your prospect get to where they want to go faster and easier than if they tried on their own, so my philosophy is this . . .

Start teaching and training your would be recruit BEFORE they are a recruit and just watch what happens. They won't know what's happening, but you'll be attracting them towards you like a magnet INSTEAD of forcing them into your business with all your might with the hard sell.

Speak to your prospect about what you do, give them advice, steer them in the right direction WHILE they are still prospects and watch how naturally most will want to BE apart of whatever it is you're doing.

Using A Funded Proposal System To Generate Responsive Leads

Jose posted this about funded proposals on HomebasedBusinessForums.com

When you search the internet these days, you are bombarded with many online lead generation systems out there and I wonder who else hasn't heard about "funded proposal".

As a beginner in internet network marketing, I would like to know more about this group of people who have yet to hear about online lead generation system and how to effectively reach them.

Can you please share your ideas/info.
Thank you.Jose

In response to your inquiry Jose...
People in a network marketing business usually lose enthusiasm building their business because they either:
(1) Run out of leads
(2) Run out of money while trying to generate more leads.

A common problem with struggling marketers is paying for leads that are not responsive to the offer the marketer is promoting. Frustrated, the marketer gives up.

So, how do you generate responsive leads without going broke? Why, you get them to pay you of course. This is called a funded proposal system. In other words you get PAID to generate leads regardless if they join your network marketing company or not. It’s very simple.

What network marketers want is more leads, and more cash.

A funded proposal system teaches network marketing prospects how to generate more leads and more cash - exactly what all network marketers want to learn all about. People who use a funded proposal system are able to build a relationship with other network marketers - people already SOLD on the idea of network marketing and looking for a leader to follow.

Effective funded proposals position the marketer as a leader who provides solutions to a problem, in front of people who already have a need, a desire, and are actively looking for a solution to their problem. This targets a generic network marketing crowd.

This is a business about marketing pursued by people who have never marketed anything before.

They need help by someone that knows what they are doing and will hold them by the hand to show them how it is done. The alternative would be for the networker to learn by trail and error, a very costly and frustrating course to take.

With this in mind, a highly effective funded proposal would do well to attract network marketers if it teaches how to market products and generate leads.

Someone who has invested the time, money and effort to learn how to generate quality targeted leads has information that is of great value to someone just starting out in MLM and needs new leads to grow their business. Leads cost money unless the method used to generate leads also generates money. This is where the FUNDED part of a funded proposal comes in.

Your funded proposal needs to have three parts.

(1) A low-cost high volume retail product for under $50 that pays for your advertising and generates a constant source of MLM leads for you.

(2) A medium to high cost backend product that pays your bills and makes you money.

(3) A network marketing opportunity that creates long term, exponential, residual income and grows your downline organization. You see, the average person can not afford to pay for the costs of marketing their business while they learn to build it, eventually spending themselves out of business with advertising costs before their business has a chance to grow into a profit.

A funded proposal generates the needed cash flow to keep the expenses of advertising going until the business pays for itself. Most people just advertise their network marketing business or website and hope someone joins, while a true leader solves peoples problems.

People will always pay for solutions and convenience.

So a good funded proposal makes network marketers lives easier or offers a solution to their most pressing challenges. If they are willing to invest in your program (even if they do not join your network marketing company ), the system pays you a commission based on the sale. So not only are you getting great targeted leads of people interested in what you have to offer but, you get a generous income as well.

Are You Carrying Buckets?

Written by Yanik Silver

I let my personal trainer, Jeff, borrow a copy of "Rich
Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. A few weeks later during
our workout session he blurts out, "You know what -- I'mcarrying buckets!"
"Huh?" I replied.

Jeff reminded me in the "Rich Dad" book Kiyosaki gives the
example of someone carrying buckets to supply a town with
a water and another person building a water pipe line to
carry the water. It took longer for the pipeline to be
built but once it was done - the money would continue to
come in with or without him.

What are you doing?

Sadly most people are carrying buckets. They are getting
paid based on the hours they work. Even if you are a
highly paid surgeon or attorney your income is still
limited by the hours you can work. Everybody has been
taught to think the harder you work the more money you
make. What if that's completely wrong? What if it's the
smarter the work, the more money you make?

Personally, I prefer to work once and get paid over and
over and over again. And there are lots of ways you can
create recurring revenue for yourself. It could be via
royalties from an invention, a song, or a book. It could
be from network marketing. It could be from real estate.
It could be dividends from investments. Or it could be
from a multitude of other ways aside from the typical
9-to-5 grind.

The majority of my income day-in and day-out is a direct
result of work I did 1, 2, 3...even 6+ years ago or more. For
instance, if you create an information product to sell
(like a report, ebook, software, video, etc) you only have
to do the work once of creating it and once to write the
sales letter.

Then if you set up some automatic promotion avenues like
an affiliate program or autoresponder messages - you can
continue to get paid for that product indefinitely. One of
biggest income streams is a product I created 5 years ago
and still makes me a nice six-figure income each year.

Frankly, I couldn't turn off my recurring revenue streams
right now if I tried. That's because much of what I've
created has fed on itself. One product refers people to
another. Our affiliate network (over 35,000) refer people
to our sites. Some of our sites cross-promote our other
sites, etc. etc.

When you keep working on activities that have recurring
value you'll create a momentum that's tough to stop. But
the truth is -- it IS hard work in the beginning. It's
like a rocket taking off in which it burns most of its
fuel on lift off.

You need to put in the hours and effort upfront and then
you can ease off the throttle. But if you don't put in the
extra effort upfront you'll never achieve lift off and get
that momentum you need.

The more you think about doing the work once and being
paid multiple times the more creative your mind will
become. Ask yourself the right questions and you'll get
the right answers.

In fact, even this article, if I'm lucky, will become a
recurring income producing activity. I wrote this material
once and the publicity from it will hopefully get a few
people to my websites and into my marketing funnel.

Now of course, I'm not saying that every activity I do
each day is highly leveraged because I still do some "dumb
stuff" like checking email or filling out tax forms. But
I'm working on outsourcing as much as I can and focusing
just on income producing activities (just like you
should).
